You're so young... we're so young. It's hard to imagine what our lives are going to look like in a year, or twelve, but here we are dreaming about it anyway. College will fly by, trust me, and life will only get scarier and more uncertain as you journey through it, but damn is it exciting. Even when you're lonely or sad or completely overcome with anger, if you take a second to think about how far you've come, you'll be amazed that you made it this far. You could have been hit by a car or poisoned by a crazy stranger, but you weren't. The universe, or the god of your choosing, allowed you to live this long and be exactly where you are supposed to be. You are exactly who you are supposed to be. Remember that weekend where we ran away to the desert because life was too much to handle? It was hot and we were wearing wildly inappropriate attire, but it didn't matter because the people who saw us would never see us again. They would never learn our names, where we were from or what makes us human, and that felt good. It felt like heaven to be strangers and not have to care about the opinions of others. We should live that way again. Everyday. Always. When is our next great adventure? When are we going to jump off a cliff into water I'm too scared to think about? The future is much more bearable when you have the getaways in mind and when you live like you would in those far away moments. So let's think about. Let's plan and dream and fuck it all up because why not? Why shouldn't we be reckless and expect too much of the future? It'll make the disappointment sweet. Read her reply: Breathe Josie, Then Jump
