The Action Challenge: Pray Over Sleep

It didn't take all day and it didn't take too much time, but it took a great toll. I don't ever really take the time to think about those people who don't always get a good night's sleep, but last night I did.

For the third day of The Action Challenge, I had to wake up in the middle of the night and pray for those who don't get to sleep in peace.

I'm not talking about people who have insomnia and I'm not talking about college students who have too much homework. I'm talking about people who are too scared to sleep or are woken up from their sleep. Every. Night.
I questioned God a lot in my prayer, but I could have questioned him so much more.
These kids can't sleep without bombs going off. Why don't you stop it?
If you love our children, why can't you put the ones that are bad in time out?
If these people are fighting in "your name," why don't you set them straight?
Why do bad things happen to good people?
Why do bad things happen to innocent people?
Why do bad things happen to innocent children?
Don't you care?
Where are you?
What can I do?
What can I really do?
Why do people have to die?
Why do people have to suffer?
When is enough going to be enough?
My God, where are you?
I thought about all the events that have been happening in the world and how all I can do is stand by. I thought about how I don't want to stand by for much longer.

Azusa Pacific students, it's not too late to sign up for The Action Challenge.
