National Coffee Addiction Day

          This is it. Today is the day, today is MY day. It's National Coffee Day.
          Now, today is not just a day for free coffee, it's a day of awareness and I just wanted to make you aware, if you didn't know already, of the fact that I have a serious addiction to coffee. I know, me and the rest of the world, right? NO.
          As much as I have become dependent on my daily dose of caffeine, I didn't start drinking coffee because I needed something to aid me in my college all nighters (I would rather get an F than pull and all nighter, by the way). I started drinking coffee because I love the bitter taste of coffee. My friends tell me that I like bitter things because it fits my personality, but I already took care of them. They won't be saying anything for a while.

          My aunt always tells me that when I was a baby, her parents would sit me on their lap and sneak me spoonfuls of the wonderful elixir. I like to think that I sat there and drank half of their cup eagerly with sparkles in my eyes and a heart overwhelmed with joy. It was a young love and I will never let anyone take it away from me. 
          Today of all days, leave us alone. Sit with us and drink your free coffee with us, but do not get on our case for driving around all over town in order to drink all the free coffee our little hearts desire. Join us today in our addiction. Step into our shoes and dive right into the pool of life that is filled with our wonderful black drug. Fall in love with our significant other. 
          I'm not trying to promote an addiction or anything, but it is the best one to have. You get to drink all the coffee you could ever afford! I have plenty of coffee if you're seriously considering it. Go forth and drink!
